Since our charter in 1953, the Harveys Lake American Legion Post has been welcoming VETERANS from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, we continue to welcome all military personnel serving our country. Joining our Post enables you to continue serving your God, Country and Community Our mission is to implement the goals, aspirations, dreams, peace and blessings for our country, friends and families embodied in our preamble below.
There have been changes in handling of benefits for Agent Orange exposure in the Vietnam conflict which have resulted in benefits for some of our members. The office of State Senator Lisa Baker has arranged for visits by a VA Service Officer near her office at 22 Dallas Village, Dallas. The mobile office is scheduled for the third Friday of each month. You must call Senator Baker's office at 570-675-3931 to make an appointment with the Service Officer

A Flag Committee including Frank Lasota, Dave Zimmerman, Carl Carpenter, and Bob Matzel has been organized. The committee designed and built the burn barrel. The photo below shows the barrel before the first burn.
